Renting Problems:

Renting Problems:

Okay, so this is a more serious note than my usuals--

Obviously, since moving here to Georgia for such a "short" time, we didn't buy a house. We are renting on post and are definitely feeling the repercussions of it. (I have to admit, our housing situation is great. Our house is nice. It's moderately roomy.) BUT....the house doesn't come with a washer and dryer!! WHO KNEW!? When we moved in, our roommates already had the washer/dryer. What I didn't know...the house didn't come with it!

The previous renter/roommate had purchased the washer and dryer (don't know from where) but there were definitely flaws that came with it. It has an INSANELY bad smell coming from it! I don't know if this smell started overtime or if the set came with the odor. It's almost as though there's mold that's growing in it because the lid stayed shut after using or something. I don't have the answer to it--but I need it!

I've Googled "how to clean a stinky washer" and things along those lines. I got responses of "mix baking soda and water", "put vinegar in the washer and run it" but I had also seen things about using a Clorox/water mix and spray it in the drum. I haven't done that yet (since there are a ton of holes and don't want to risk it messing up the next wash) but that STILL doesn't seem to have worked. ALL our laundry has a dirty smell. I can use a whole lid of laundry detergent, and nothing. It all still wreaks. With that said: HOW DO I FIX THIS?! WHAT METHOD COULD I USE TO REMOVE THE STINK IN MY LAUNDRY?! I HATE FEELING LIKE I'M WEARING DIRTY CLOTHES WHEN I JUST WASHED THEM!!!

Please, let me know some personal experiences and let me know what you've done to remove it. I don't know what the heck is going on, how long this smell has been lingering, and how no one else in my house has noticed! My pregnancy smell is way too strong to have bad odors in the house. I feel like I'm weekly doing recon on the house, trying to make it a whole other level of clean because I always smell something bad.

This is just one of the many interesting things going on. Stay tuned for more fun and chaos. I'm waiting to hear about your cleaning ideas!
